What is transferred

The month's movement data, cleanly prepared

stemplr delivers the hours and values your payroll office needs. Payroll itself – amounts, tax and social security – is still calculated by DATEV.

  • Working time per wage type

    Approved working time per personnel number and wage type. Several time types such as work, training or home office can be mapped.

  • Absences

    Vacation, sick leave, public holidays, time off in lieu and vocational school – as a monthly total or per day with a failure key, as your payroll office requires.

  • Surcharge hours

    Night, Sunday and holiday hours based on your time windows, including daylight saving time and shifts across midnight. DATEV calculates the surcharge amount.

  • Overtime payouts

    Only hours you explicitly approve for payout. A positive balance is never paid out automatically.

    Set up once

    Agree advisor and client number, wage types and absence rules with your payroll office and save them.

  2. 02

    Choose the month

    Select the payroll month – by default the previous month.

  3. 03

    Check the data

    stemplr shows what will be transferred and reports missing personnel numbers, open entries or overlaps – with a link to fix them.

  4. 04

    Release and download

    The file is only created on release. It is stored unchanged and can be downloaded again at any time.

  5. 05

    Keep track

    The export history shows who handed over what and when – and whether data changed afterwards.

Built for a hand-over that adds up

  • A check before every file

    Nothing is silently dropped. Deliberately excluded data is shown with a reason; errors block the file.

  • Immutable history

    Every hand-over stores the data and settings it used. Later changes become visible instead of being applied silently.

  • Corrections with comparison

    If a month changes afterwards, stemplr shows the differences per personnel number and wage type and guides you through the correction.

  • Only for authorised users

    Setup and export are available only to admins and managers of your company.

Good to know

What the export does – and what it doesn't

  • Supported is DATEV LODAS for payroll in Germany. DATEV “Lohn und Gehalt” uses a different format and is not supported.

  • DATEV offers no payroll product for Austria; a BMD export is in preparation.

  • stemplr does not send data to DATEV automatically. You download the file and your payroll office imports it.

  • Wage types, failure keys and surcharge rules are agreed with your payroll office – stemplr does not invent payroll rules.

  • Transferring expenses and mileage allowances is available as a preview; your payroll office decides the tax treatment.
